Super Smash Bros Brawl Showdown

In a similar vein to the Mario Kart Grand Wii contest in April, Nintendo have this time announced a special nationwide tournament to celebrate the long awaited release of Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii. On the 28th June you can head to a selection of Gamestation stores around the country to take part in a mammoth 64 player (2×32) knockout competition. Guitar Hero III record breaker

Guitar Hero III’s in the Guinness Book of Records for having the largest audience for a videogame performance. 9,6000 people watched the game at a festival in Earl’s Court smashing the record of 3,000 set last year at Donnington.

Mario Kart Grand Wii event

I was lucky enough to live near one of the 30 Game stores that were taking part in the special Mario Kart Wii event on Saturday 5th April. Last month my girlfriend and I attended the Play.com live event where thousands of punters came to Wembley Stadium to play the latest videogames. I went to an event for the new Baby Pals game from THQ last night. While I was there I also got a massage and had my nails done (really, they were horrid and now look very nice).
