A boxed copy of Halo 3 has gone on sale in Australia and sold for about 70 quid. There’s pictures and everything of it so either someone at Microsoft, a warehouse or Bungie has nicked one and has decided to flog it. Oohhh there’ll be trouble!
There’s already a new Zelda game coming out for the Wii. With the advent of their new lightgun peripheral the Zapper, they’re also making a game called Zelda Crossbow training which is about… you guessed it, archery! It’s a third-person target shooting game using the Twilight Princess engine. Whether we all start stealing from the rich and giving to the poor is yet to be seen.
Here’s an interesting concept from Sony. Take a platform game, make the objective just to make your way to the end, make it really open ended and give you the chance to make your own levels and make your way through the game with your friends, giving a helping hand when you need. That game will soon be a reality. It sounds simple, looks great and is called Little Big Planet. Having seen the videos of this game, this really is a look toward what the PS3 is capable of after all the launch titles with good but not stunning...
It seems another Halo 3 Beta test is underway but only in secret if you’re invited to be part of the exclusive member trying it out. Sound like the Freemasons. Xbox Live players have reported seeing other players indulging in a bit of Halo 3 Epsilon. An anonymous email has also confirmed that Epsilon is a new build of the beta complete campaign mode to try out. Are you jealous yet, are you, are you?
It’s just been revealed that Starbreeze’s remake of the fantastic Chronicles of Riddick for next-gen consoles won’t be coming out now until 2008. The game already looked stunning on the original Xbox so it’ll be interesting to see how it will fare on the 360 and PS3. No reason’s been given for the delay, so I’ll make one up. Er, they lost the code down the back of the sofa?
A demo of Beautiful Katamari has now gone up on Xbox Live Marketplace. If you want to find out how the game feels on Microsoft’s console you’ll get a tiny three minutes to roll your ball around and pick everything up you can. The full game comes to the Xbox 360 and the Wii later in the year.
