Star Wars: The Old Republic is pleasing fans online at the moment who are into that whole MMO thing with over 800,000 people creating their versions of Sith Warriors and Jedi Knights. BioWare have just released a patch which fixes some gameplay issues including a fix to the cover mechanic and the Sith Corruption Toggle and also one that stops the Bounty Hunter class story being completed in certain circumstances. New details have emerged regarding Kinect 2 and the big revelation is that it can lip read. Yes, the new piece of tech is so accurate it can detect facial movement and expressions. At the moment it’s the USB connection that prevents all that data going to the console but the new one will connect differently and come bundled with Microsoft’s next console which is still yet to be named. Not content with just attacking Battlefield 3, Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick is now having a go at World of Warcraft’s impending rival Star Wars: The Old Republic. He stated that George Lucas will be the main financial winner when the game comes out on 20th December and he doesn’t understand how the economics will work for EA. Resident Evil 6 could be on the cards after the game was mentioned on an actor’s CV. The mention was then removed sharpish but this isn’t the first time the game has been referenced as something an actor has provided his vocal talents on. Last year Capcom said they wanted to get the game out as soon as possible but it failed to appear at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. We guess we’ll hear something official about it in the New Year.
