Mario Kart 7 launch event

Last night saw the launch event for Mario Kart 7 happen at the Sports Café at Haymarket in London. Although there was a hefty police presence outside due to protestors taking over most of the road, luckily we were still able to get into the venue to have a go on the game, drink some free beer and try to win a tournament. Runefest 2011

Last weekend saw the coming together of RPG role-players everywhere in London for Runefest 2011. RuneScape players got to meet with fellow gamers, take part in activities and meet the developers for Q&A sessions. They also had a rather good Halloween party where I got to meet death. Battlefield 3 sales figures

Battlefield 3 has become the fastest-selling game in EA’s history. It sold more than 5 million copies in its first weekend on sale. Executive VP of EA Games Patrick Soderlund was rather happy, stating “From Tokyo to Los Angeles, Sydney to London, millions of fans have been playing all weekend long – we are overwhelmed by the global response to Battlefield 3.” Isn’t it nice to know most people spent last weekend shooting each other? The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary

Last night was The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Symphony at the Hammersmith HMV Apollo in London. I arrived at a venue that was ridiculously busy outside as people queued round the corner to get inside and try out Skyward Sword in the lobby before grabbing a quick drink, getting some merchandise and finding their seats. Grand Theft Auto 3 10th anniversary

It’s been ten years since the original Grand Theft Auto 3 changed gaming forever and Rockstar Games have just released a trailer to celebrate its 10th anniversary. The game was a milestone back on the PS2 and this shows some of those memorable moments including the car chases, the characters you’ll meet and kill and of course all those weapons. Gears of War 3 RAAMs Shadow

Two new pieces of DLC have been announced for Gears of War 3. The Horde Command Pack will be available on 1st November and the other available on 13th December is entitled RAAM’s Shadow!
