Square Enix have hit a spot of bother with their community after releasing a free Hitman Facebook app that let you put hits on your friends. It seems some people were offended by these virtual death threats so they pulled it just a day after release. Ah well, best get killing people in the full Hitman Absolution game instead which coincidentally features in my Top 5 games of the year. Ubisoft have released an online trailer showing off some of the voice talent behind Far Cry 3 – but with a difference. The trailer shows the voice talent behind Vaas actually being the real-life equivalent of the unsavoury fella in the game. Check the Gamesweasel website for the full review of Far Cry 3. If you’re still playing Resident Evil 6 you’ll be pleased to know there’s new multiplayer DLC landing on the Xbox 360 from December 18th. Three modes entitled Predator, Survivors and Onslaught will be available to download separately at 320 MS Points each which will let you play in a one versus all match, a regular versus mode or a survival mode where two players try to outlive each other. The cat’s out of the bag, or at least the girl will be running over those rooftops again in Mirrors Edge 2 . EA Games VP Patrick Soderlund told OXM that EA doesn’t just want Swedish developers DICE to become a Battlefield-only studio. Couple that with Ben Cousins, former boss of EA free-to-play saying on Twitter that it’s “general knowledge in the Stockholm dev scene that Mirror’s Edge 2 is in production at DICE” and I’d say that’s pretty much a sure thing that we’re due another parkour playthrough most probably sometime next year. Ubisoft have released a couple of live action trailers for Wii U launch title ZombiU. They follow the plight of two survivors in London who give a testimony to camera and are then promptly attacked by some virus-infected weirdos. My advice? The Wii U‘s hit a bit of trouble in the US on its day of launch. Once bought, customers realised it needed a firmware update of over 1GB which on slower networks could take more than an hour to download. People with dodgy connections reported interrupted updates and bricked consoles as a result. So the question is, is anyone in need of an expensive black paper weight?
