Mortal Kombat X review

The recent reboot of Mortal Kombat in 2011 was a great success. Combining visceral punchy combat with an actual story for once in a fighting game instead of some stills and juxtaposition made for my favourite fighting game, especially since it had so much more to offer as well. Mortal Kombat X expands on this with a roster of brand new fighters, graphical improvements and some very imaginative fatalities! Single player sees another fight between the Earth Realm and the Netherealm as Shinnok comes back from where he was sent in the last game to do all sorts of naughty...

Slender The Arrival review

Anyone who watches my reviews knows I’m a sucker for horror games but oddly enough I’ve never really played any of the true survival games that have come out recently apart from Alien: Isolation. Slender: The Arrival isn’t exactly new, but this remix for the latest generation of consoles delivers a couple of new chapters and ideas to the game which sees you exploring a house, nearby wood and more in search of your friend who has gone missing. Armed only with a torch, what seems like a nice sunny day soon turns into night and things get really creepy....

Mortal Kombat X release date

As you know I love my horror movies and if it wasn’t exciting enough that Jason Voorhees from Friday 13th is going to appear in the Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack with his hockey mask and super meltey face, another ugly mother, the Predator from the films of the same name will also be a playable character complete with all his weaponry that will shred skin from bone so he can make furniture out of them. The game comes out on 14th April 2015 worldwide. Full Kombat Pack details are: The Ultimate Horror Pack: Playable character Jason Voorhees. Horror skins Vampiress...

Battlefield Hardline review

I’m a big Battlefield fan but let’s be honest, there’s never really been a great Battlefield single player campaign. Visceral who have a pedigree of storytelling and character development now have the helm and you know what? I think they may have cracked it. Instead of putting the player in a war scenario, we’re plunge into the murky world of cops and robbers where, as police officer Nick Mendoza, you become embroiled in a drug and turf war on the mean streets of Los Angeles and other far away locations. This is actually one of the first game’s I’ve also...

Your mission is to infiltrate a highly guarded enemy base to rescue a VIP and find as much loot as you can. I was lucky enough to have a little preview last week. Check out the video to see if we came out covered in glory or failed miserably like Mr Bean in a chocolate bar advert. To enter, get your crew together and go to www.battlefield.com/hardline/live
