Dark

A bright future for Dark

Kalypso Media have just launched this a trailer for their forthcoming 3rd-person futuristic RPG – Dark. In it you don’t play this guy with a gun but rather a vampire as you stalk enemies from the shadows and silently dispatch them or just go in for the kill from the front! It certainly looks different and if you’re the sort of person that has a blood lust you can play it on Xbox 360 and PC early in 2013. Buy Dark now New: Buy Dark from Amazon.com

Metro Last Light

Enter the Metro with Metro Last Light

THQ have released a short video to promote their claustrophobic shooter Metro: Last Light. It’s called Enter the Metro and features real-life actors looking rather cold and miserable in 2013. In it we follow the plight of a number of characters as the Russians head underground to escape the impeding monstrous threat. You’ll also see a teaser of just what life is like 20 years later. To see the full video make sure you’re over 18 and head over to www.enterthemetro.com. 007 Legends

Play Moonraker in 007 Legends

Great news if you’re a James Bond fan and your favourite one was the one in space. Yes Moonraker is the first of six classic Bond inspired missions revealed by Activision in their recently announced 007 Legends game. During the mission you’ll find yourself on Hugo Drax’s space station trying to stop him releasing satellites that will poison the Earth in order for his ‘beautiful people’ to start again from scratch. There is however no word yet if you’ll be able to attempt ‘re-entry’ at the end of the mission. Buy 007 Legends now New: Buy 007 Legends from Amazon.com...

Resistance Burning Skies

Resistance Burning Skies review

Resistance: Burning Skies takes the battle with the Chimera on the move and online. Playing as a fireman who gets caught up in the fight during the 50s you soon get to play with all their weaponry which tags bad guys and shoots round corners, blasts enemies through walls and more heavy firepower that does lots of damage in very unconventional ways. There’s no slowdown so expect some graphical shortcuts here and there but the action is fast and furious with touch screen features such as throwing grenades and activating shields and buttons which work to various degrees of success....

Gravity Rush

Gravity Rush review

Apart from being something that happens when you stand up too quick, Gravity Rush plays with the PS Vita‘s gyroscope in a very clever way. As Kat and her cat Dusty, you wake up in a strange town with no memory although you do have the power to shift gravity and float around the town in order to help out its inhabitants. The game features a combination of fetch quests, sneaking, timed flying and combat and genuinely offers something different to anything I’ve ever played before. If playing in a public space you can also use the right stick instead...

Max Payne 3 image

Max Payne 3 review

The original Max Payne came out in 2001 and I remember playing it on PC, diving round corners in ‘bullet time‘ and swinging my mouse around to shoot bad guys. Forgetting about those silly dream sequences where you had to walk the red line, it was all a lot of fun and very trendy at the time thanks to The Matrix pulling the stunt first in the movies and making the effect very “in”. 11 years on this third game featuring the grieving alcohol and pain killer-fuelled ex-detective is developed by Rockstar Games instead of Remedy and features some trademark...
