Resident Evil 6 release date

The hype for Resident Evil 6 has begun ten months before the game hits the stores! Adverts have already been seen on TV in the United Kingdom and a lengthy trailer showing the events inside a city from the viewpoint of Leon S. Kennedy is also taking the interweb by storm. Capcom say it’s their most ambitious Resident Evil title to date and are also pushing the game on Twitter, via a YouTube takeover and O2 customers are even being sent MMS messages about it. In case you haven’t heard, the games’ out on consoles on November 20th. Not long...

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer could topple Battlefield 3

Mass Effect 3 multiplayer could topple Battlefield 3

Mass Effect 3 is almost upon us…well, in just over a month in fact, and this trailer has just surfaced showing off more of the brand new multiplayer mode where you and fellow soldiers must help Commander Shepard’s cause in the war against the Reapers and the battle to save planet Earth. The video shows off different character classes including Human and Krogan soldiers, Quarian engineer, Drell and Asari vanguards, Salarian infiltrator and a Turian sentinel. With all this multiplayer fun on top of the single player experience this could be the game to drag me away from getting my...

Resident Evil Revelations

Resident Evil Revelations review

Okay so they may be corny but the Resident Evil games are a guilty pleasure of mine. I really enjoyed Mercenaries when the 3DS first came out and have been looking forward to a ‘proper’ game on the 3DS with a story ever since. Revelations tells the story between the events of console games 4 and 5 and sees you playing as three pairs of soldiers with most of the action happening on board an abandoned cruise ship as you take on the roles of Chris, Jill, Jessica and the slightly overweight but likeable Parker. This time it’s the mysterious...

Soul Calibur V

Soul Calibur V review

I’ve always liked the Soul Calibur games because they offer something different to the usual fighting systems of games such as Street Fighter. The vertical and horizontal attacks mixed with the ability to dodge and run around opponents in 3D space works well and the characters are pretty cool to boot, my favourites being the pirate Cervantes and Voldo, the undead dude who looks like he enjoys fetish clubs. Soul Calibur V refines this fighting system even more with some gorgeous graphics and animations and a guest character in the form of Ezio from the latest Assassin’s Creed games. As...

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 review

When I was first sent this game I thought Capcom had made a mistake and sent me the Marvel vs Capcom 3 Fate of Two Worlds game I’d reviewed months ago. Then I realised the word ‘ultimate’ at the beginning of the game and realised it’s almost the same game but might be worthy of your pennies if you’re a serious and want some more modes to play with. So what’s the story? Well, the good guys and bad guys from both universes decide to have a bit of a barney and then for good measure along comes Galactus with...

Game over for Battlefield 3 cheats

It looks like Battlefield 3 makers DICE have decided to enlist the help of, well, just about everyone in their on-going crusade against in-game cheats. In a recent blog post DICE announced that Battlefield cheats can now be reported by anyone – not just DICE employees. If players witness an in-game cheat, they can now report them using Battlelog with cheats apparently facing having their stats wiped and being banned from the game.
