Captain America Super Soldier

Captain America Super Soldier review

There’s no two ways about it, the first half of 2011 has been awful for Wii owners. There have been hardly any games at all, let alone many good ones. Of course Nintendo themselves have been far too distracted with the 3DS to worry about Wii, but that doesn’t explain the lack of third party content. The latter half of this year will at least see a few final big titles for Wii owners to look forward to. Anyway, who’d have thought that it would be Nintendo’s old rivals Sega, stepping up to fill the void this summer? Let me...

Call of Juarez The Cartel review

The previous Call of Juarez games passed me by but I understand that Call of Juarez: The Cartel takes the Wild West theme and brings it into the modern day with cars instead of horses, hookers instead of whores and big guns as well as six shooters. The game is set in 21st Century Los Angeles and Mexico as a team of three agents with different agendas come together to bring down the Mendoza Cartel who are responsible for a bombing. It’s a first-person shooter which can be played either solo with two AI characters or in full co-op mode...

Cars 2 The Video Game

Cars 2 The Video Game review

Cars 2: The Video Game is of course the game to support the Cars 2 movie sequel. It’s made by Disney Pixar so of course you’d expect the film to be of high quality and appeal to children and adults on different levels. This game’s a racer and shooter and in some ways it actually does the same, although will definitely appeal to kids more in the long run. You can actually play as any of the cars that feature in the movie as you train to become a C.H.R.O.M.E. agent and take on dangerous missions. For the purposes of...

Gotham City Imposters

Gotham City Imposters announcement

Warner Bros. Interactive have released a CGI trailer for their upcoming download only multiplayer FPS, Gotham City Imposters. The game gives players the opportunity to go against conformity by customizing their own characters to create their own Bats or Jokerz. Insane costumes, homebrewed gadgets and a wide range of weapons will be the order of the day when the game becomes available early 2012. FEAR 3

FEAR 3 review

I really enjoyed the previous F.E.A.R. games. The first two I played when I was into PC games, FEAR Perseus Mandate and then I played FEAR 2 Project Origin on the Xbox 360. The combination of scares and tight shooter gameplay was great, but does this third game in the series keep the mix just right? Unfortunately the game’s not as creepy as the previous titles but it does still play very well as a shooter and the co-op mechanic through the campaign mode and multiplayer modes serve to make things last even longer. You play as either Paxton Fettel...

UFC Personal Trainer

UFC Personal Trainer review

I’m actually quite into my fitness when I can be bothered. I actually did the whole three months of P90X with Tony Horton and although it was tough, it really got my fit. UFC Personal Trainer claims to be the “ultimate fitness system” but although it does work you, it does fall short of what a good set of DVDs and a wall chart can do for you. Based around the disciplines of UFC, this official product features over 70 MMA and NASM-approved exercises that aim to improve your stamina, strength and endurance. Boot it up, and even doing the...
