Nintendo 3DS list of games

The Nintendo 3DS is just around two months away for those of us in the US and Europe. You may have heard that the 3DS comes bundles with some built in augmented reality games, whilst these will be fun and a great way to show the 3DS to your friends, they probably will not keep you occupied for too long. Luckily from release day until the end of June Nintendo have promised a wealth of games you can look forward to. Here are the ones we’re most looking forward to playing in the first half of 2010 on Nintendo 3DS:...

F1 2010

F1 2010 review

Formula One eh? That’s the one where cars get raced around and around for two hours isn’t it? I happen to have been a fan of F1 for what must be 15 odd years now. So you don’t have to worry about me not knowing the difference between Downforce and G-Force. Last year I was one of the few who actually bothered to review the Wii exclusive F1 2009 from Codemasters: http://wiigamereview.com/reviews/formula-1-f1-2009-for-wii-review/ . I knew at the time that the game was just an over ambitious beta test for the 2010 title, but funnily enough; it’s still the second best...

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1

Sonic The Hedgehog 4 Episode 1 review

Sonic Unleashed. Sonic and the Secret Rings. Sonic the Hedgehog 2006. I apologise for the bad language but I wanted to make sure my point was understood. The Sonic games of recent years have not exactly been charming, which explains why Sega have looked back to his glory days, the time of Sonics 1-3 and Sonic & Knuckles, for inspiration for their latest 2D platformer. They’ve even called it Sonic the Hedgehog 4 in an attempt to make us all forget. “What Sonic Unleashed?” they wink at us. Sonic 4 Episode One is an experiment in combining the greatest elements...

Last Window Secret of Cape West

Last Window Secret of Cape West review

Despite being one of the oldest game genres going, Interactive Fiction has never gathered much foothold into the gaming market since its original popularity in the early to mid-1980s. Of course back then a text adventure game could still be considered relatively new and interesting. When you consider that most home computers of that time were designed purely with home accounting in mind, just having any sort of game was better than nothing. Nowadays new Text Adventure games themselves are rarer than a Leprechaun who rides a Unicorn to work, the only way you’ll find one is by searching the...

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D

Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3DS trailer

We’ve just got hold of a trailer for Metal Gear Solid 3DS from Konami and it’s got us very excited. The game is a remake of the PS2’s fantastic Snake Eater and really shows off what the 3DS is capable of when it comes to eye-popping 3D visuals. Although you can’t see it in full 3D here it stills seems a bit 3D in a strange way. The trailer begins with Snake crawling through the jungle and encountering a snake and an alligator. He then gets chased by a swarm of 3D bees and jumps off a bridge only to...

Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock

Guitar Hero Warriors of Rock review

Since Guitar Hero first came out on the PS2 it’s gone through a number of changes. Since Guitar Hero 2 every song now uses all the assets from the original track, drums, bass and vocals all come together for four-player action, they’ve dabbled with guitar duels and battles with famous guitarists such as Slash and of course there is online play and leaderboards for you to try and grind your way to the top of the last by proving you have the best ‘axe’ skills. Warriors of Rock takes a refreshing approach and uses a sort of fantasy role-playing story...
