Jet Set Radio HD

Tune into Jet Set Radio

New details have emerged about Jet Set Radio HD. Originally for the Dreamcast, this version of the game will feature 70% of the original Dreamcast music and the extra levels seen in the US version of the game. You’ll also be able to control the camera with the right analogue stick but oddly you won’t be able to share tags online like you could over SegaNet in the original. Expect to be able to download it for consoles and PC soon. Related: SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection review, Sega Mega Drive Classics Collection review

Dead Space 3 to be powered by Battlefield 3

After DICE’s Frostbite 2 engine has been used in Battlefield 3 and farmed out to other games such as Need for Speed: The Run, there are now rumours that it may also be used in Dead Space 3. Although not announced by EA, rumours abound that it’s happening thanks to job postings at EA’s Visceral studios and DICE’s rendering architect Johan Andersson tweeting that he’s off to visit a whole bunch of Frostbite-powered EA studios, the first one being Montreal where Visceral are based. Of course this is all conjecture but it Frostbite 2 is indeed powering Dead Space 3...

Mass Effect 3 sales figures higher than expected

Electronic Arts will be happy with pre-orders of Mass Effect 3. They’ve smashed all expectation they’ve had for the third in the sci-fi action RPG series and are way ahead of those of Mass Effect 2. They have been campaigning pretty heavily though, with a live action TV advert and even this week launching copies of the game into space with GPS trackers for avid gamers to follow and collect when they land! The Mass Effect 3 release date is 2nd March in the US and 9th March in Europe and there will be a full review on the next...

LA Noire 2 rumors

After L.A. Noire didn’t quite hit the mark for me, Rockstar may be planning on a sequel. Although Team Bondi who made the game don’t officially exist anymore, Rockstar said they would not ‘count out the possibility’ of a sequel to the detective game with ground-breaking facial motion capture. Of course they’ve got Max Payne 3 and GTA V to get out of the way first but what I really want to see is a sequel to Red Dead Redemption. That would truly be awesome! Game over for Battlefield 3 cheats

It looks like Battlefield 3 makers DICE have decided to enlist the help of, well, just about everyone in their on-going crusade against in-game cheats. In a recent blog post DICE announced that Battlefield cheats can now be reported by anyone – not just DICE employees. If players witness an in-game cheat, they can now report them using Battlelog with cheats apparently facing having their stats wiped and being banned from the game.
