Frontlines Fuel of War

Frontlines Fuel of War review

Frontlines: Fuel of War takes the franchise and moves it into the first-person shooter genre. Think Battlefield on the 360 and you’re close to what you have when you put this game into the beige box and listen to it sound like it’s about to take off. Of course, there’s a reason there’s more than a nod to Battlefield as the guys from DICE who made that, made this too. The story’s told through the eyes of a reporter and as a soldier in the Western Coalition you’re fighting over the world’s most valuable commodity – fuel. Tell me about...

LOST The Videogame

LOST The Videogame review

The TV show Lost had me hooked form the start. It constantly throws up new questions, never really answers them and I’m now happily sitting through series four still waiting for a big pay off. Now Lost the videogame is here and it’s a mix of good and bad. You play as a survivor named Elliott. You’re a photographer and must piece together your memory by completing quests on the island and getting your memory back by taking some photos and collecting evidence through a series of flashbacks. What this game is good at is using the structure of the...

Bioshock sequel

There is some good news for Bioshock fans and that is Take Two have confirmed that a Bioshock sequel is now in the works and should be heading to our shores in 2009. Needless to say that I’m very excited by a follow up to Bioshock, but some of you may not have heard of, let alone played the original yet. For those of you who are new to Bioshock, be known that it was a massive hit for the Xbox 360 and PC last year. If I had to describe Bioshock in twenty words or less I would say...

We’re also to expect some classic weaponry such as the Flamethrower and Pulse Rifle and some new, never before seen equipment and skills to master. Cool! Sega have a good track record with FPS titles (well, if you count on rails shooters as FPS)...

Lego Batman

After Lego Star Wars and Lego Indiana Jones comes Lego Batman. Travellers Tales are bringing the dynamic duo to the square brick format and it’s looking pretty cool with some great lighting effects and characters such as The Scarecrow, Catwoman and Robin all in the mix. The game has been announced Autumn 2008.

Unreal Tournament 3 image

Unreal Tournament 3 review

Unreal Tournament 3 isn’t in fact the third game in the series, it’s actually the 4th – and it also came out on the PC late last year. So does this make the PS3 version UT4.5? Maybe I’m thinking too hard about this. Anyway, there are plenty of online game modes to try out in this one and, just like on the PC as well, a new single player campaign if you want a bit of story and don’t just want to run around playing with lasers and firing Redeemers at each other’s bottoms. Game modes vary from Deathmatch, Team...
