Far Cry 2

It’s time to look at Far Cry 2 out on next-gen consoles and PC. I loved the first game on the PC, not so much on the 360. Now it moves from the desert island jungle to the plains of Africa. Hopefully, Ubisoft will bring us a game with even more open-ended gameplay where you could choose how to reach your mission objectives on the open island. This time it’s developed by Ubisoft Montreal using a brand new engine and not Crytek whose engine was also very good and used on the recent PC title Crysis. They’re aiming for a...

LOST The Videogame

LOST videogame

New details of the Lost videogame have emerged thanks to a tucked-away preview in the Season 3 box set. You play a new survivor from the crashed Oceanic 815 plane and must unearth the secrets of the island alongside the current cast. You’ll also play through some flashbacks of your life – let’s just hope they’re not as boring as the ones in the TV series.

Kane and Lynch 2 Dog Days

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men review

This game has an awesome poster doing the rounds with the two protagonists upon it, those being the criminal traitor Kane and the psychopathic Lynch. Kane and Lynch escape death row at the beginning of the game and after a chase through some back alleys from a third person perspective you’re confronted by The7, a gang you stole something from and now they’ve got you out of the proverbial frying pan and into the fire to get it back for them. Lynch is there to look after you and be your wingman. This is a third-person shooter with a great...

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare review

So we all know that for the last few years Call of Duty has been doing the World War 2 thing better than anyone else. They’ve always bee known for great cinematic set pieces, jumping about the campaigns filling different shoes of what we in the Western world call the ‘good guys’ and a decent online experience too. Well, finally the game’s come into the modern era so it doesn’t end up doing a ‘Medal of Honor’ and what we get here is more great set pieces, a decent online experience and some very tasty graphics this time around, with...

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 review

I’ve been very excited about playing the new Pro Evo game and finally it’s taken its rightful place as the most played game on my Xbox 360 – funnily enough the last most played game was PES 6. Luckily, I got my copy a few days before the big media cup event in London. Mark Lawrensen and John Champion were also there as they’re doing the much-improved commentary but it was funny when Normski who was hosting the event called Lauro Martin Lawrence. I half expected the Bad Boys music to play and someone to come on stage in a...
