FIFA 17 review

FIFA 17 is here and now that PES has got Barcelona in the game and on the cover, EA’s cover star is now Marco Reus. Well, at least they don’t have to cope with an ever-changing hair colour. Warner Bros, The Lego Group and Lucasfilm have just announced LEGO Star Wars: the Force Awakens. Yes it’s a bit of a mouthful but this new game in the massive LEGO franchise will let gamers play through key moments of the movie with the little plastic figures on a console instead of with the sort of stuff you’d but in a shop. It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it’s also that time again when I run down my favourite games of 2015 so here goes: 5. Batman: Arkham Knight At number five it’s Batman: Arkham Knight. LEGO Dimensions is the building block equivalent of very successful ventures already released in the form of Skylanders and Disney Infinity. Metal Gear Solid V isn’t actually the 5th game in the Metal Gear series thanks to games such as Peace Walker and Ground Zeroes, however it is the latest in the franchise starring Big Boss, or Punished “Venom” Snake as he’s known here. Mortal Kombat X review

The recent reboot of Mortal Kombat in 2011 was a great success. Combining visceral punchy combat with an actual story for once in a fighting game instead of some stills and juxtaposition made for my favourite fighting game, especially since it had so much more to offer as well.
