Here’s an oddity – a video game based on a ‘story’ in the Bible. That story is the book of Enoch which, I’m told, is something to do with Noah’s Great Grandaddy and him trying to put a stop to some fallen Angels called the Watchers and get them off Earth before a great flood comes (you know, like the one seen in Evan Almighty, though probably more funny at the time). You see, they’ve been ‘interfering’ with humans and creating weird little bendy creatures that look like tofu called Nephilim. Of course, this being a game developed in Japan...

The Baconing review

The Baconing is the third adventure for DeathSpank; more commonly known as the ‘hero to the downtrodden’. Now it’s not necessary to have played the previous two games in the series but the storyline and humour will make a little more sense if you have. Resistance 3 review

This year sees a wealth of games with the word ‘three’ at the end of their title and Resistance doesn’t want to be left out and so just calls itself plain old Resistance 3. I’ve never actually played the previous two consoles iterations properly but I did enjoy the PSP outing so am familiar with the alternative reality set in wartime 1950s this time where a virus from outer space called Chimera has infected people and resulted in armies of mutated humanoids, insects and tech that are harvesting humans and now just killing them for an as yet unknown reason....

Bodycount review

First-person shooters are like pubs. There are plenty of them around, they all offer something slightly different and we all have our favourites. Bodycount is the latest FPS to hit our consoles and this one’s less about realism and more about point scoring. Driver San Francisco review

It’s fair to say that Driver 3 wasn’t very well received a few years ago. Now Ubisoft are publishing the game with Reflections still at the helm on the development side of things and the good news is this game gripped me from start to finish and just got better and better the more I played it. After the release of the Skullgirls Cerebella and Filia trailers last week, another trailer has surfaced in the form of a mini documentary from Revenge Labs detailing the art process for Skullgirls’ wonderfully whimsical character design.
