Mortal Kombat X release date and trailer

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have released their latest Mortal Kombat X trailer showcasing yet more fighters from what I think could be my new favourite fighting game (my current favourite is the reboot Mortal Kombat which came out around three years ago). The trailer entitled “Who’s Next?” takes a look at some of the characters you can kill with or kill including Kitana, the beautiful but deadly Edenian princess and Kung Lao, the powerful martial artist who could give James Bond’s Oddjob a run for his money with his hat-tricks. And speaking of hats, Raiden is back...

Resident Evil Revelations 2 release date

Resident Evil Revelations 2 release date

In my opinion, the Resident Evil franchise completely lost its way with Resident Evil 6 on consoles, forgetting that its roots lie in survival instead of all out action and that cheese, in moderation is actually still a good thing. Thankfully, Resident Evil Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS and later released as a special edition on consoles, still kept the good Resi tradition going and, in my mind, is one of the best games yet. Resident Evil Revelations 2 is available on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, Windows and PS Vita as a complete boxed version from 13th March...

Alien Isolation review

I love both gory and spooky horror movies and I’m also a big fan of the Alien movies and H R Giger’s Xenomorph creation. Having endured Sega’s previous AvP games, I was excited to play Alien Isolation, a game that harks back to the roots of the Ridley Scott’s original Alien movie as you helplessly avoid just one alien that will definitely kill you if it spots you hiding in a dark corner. And I haven’t been disappointed as this game is one of the most scary horror games I’ve ever played. In fact, I’d say it’s almost so stressful...

Top Five Games of 2014

Top 5 Games of 2014

Once again another year has almost ended so here are my top 5 games of 2014. South Park: the Stick of Truth At 5 it’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. Finally a game has been released that’s worthy of this very long running cartoon comedy. Kind of like a light role-playing game and faithfully recreated in the 2d-style of the, you must journey round the town of South Park and regain power of the Stick of Truth in your very own role-playing game – within the game so to speak. With turn-based combat, exploration and a tonne of laughs,...

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor review

I thought we were all done with Lord of the Rings games and then up pops Shadow of Mordor which lets you fill the boots of a ranger named Talion and a spiritual Wraith that’s hitching a ride with him as he runs around Mordor killing Orcs and monsters. Let’s just get this out of the way now, Shadow of Mordor is a blatant rip-off of the Batman Arkham games and Assassin’s Creed but, as those are both two of my favourite games, I’m not complaining! You’re free to roam around Mordor as you please but as usual you’ve got...

FIFA 14

FIFA 14 review

Every year the guys over at EAC deliver us another FIFA game and once again FIFA 14 changes things for the better. Not only have the guys managed to give us a load of new game modes, skill games and a revamped FIFA Ultimate Team, they’ve even changed what happens on the pitch for the better too. If you’re used to FIFA 13, you’re actually going to have a bit of a hard time playing this at first. LT is no longer used for skill moves and is now used to protect the ball, which means that you now have...
