Slimline PS3

Slimline PS3

There could be a smaller and slimmer PS3 on its way next year. Thanks to new technologies in making a smaller, cooler, less power-hungry Cell processor, we could see it being shrunk. Just don’t expect a leap in size similar to when the PS2 was remodelled. Related: PS3 slim

Golden Axe Beast Rider

Sega have sent us some ace looking new screenshots for Golden Axe Beast Rider. Even though it’s not quite taking us back the fun multiplayer adventures of the original arcade and 16bit games, we can’t deny the graphics are looking amazing on Xbox 360 and PS3. If the gameplay can match the visuals then we’ll be in for a treat when we finally get to the 17th October, the Golden Axe Beast rider release date. Related: Guilty Gear Review

Star Wars The Force Unleashed

Star Wars The Force Unleashed review

Darth Vader’s got a dirty little secret. Does he have three nipples? Does he like to wear ladies underwear under his black outfit and cloak? No, he’s got himself a secret apprentice and he’s getting him to do all his dirty work as he tries to overthrow the Emperor and rid the universe of the Rebel Alliance. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is a third-person action adventure game where you do most of your talking with the bright end of your ligthsaber and of course those dark Force powers. TNA Impact review

For some time now there’s been a monopoly in the wrestling game genre – but now there’s a new contender entering the ring in the form of TNA Impact – Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. As you’d expect you get to control a bunch of wrestling superstars as they grapple, slap and jump on top of each other to prove who’s the hardest. That description could relate to something else so we’ll move on quickly. You can also create your own wrestler and kit him out with a variety of tattoos, outfits and a limited set of new moves which you’ll...

Facebreaker

Facebreaker review

Right from the off you can tell Facebreaker keeps its tongue firmly in its rather swollen cheek. It’s a boxing game but, unlike the Fight Night games which attempt to accurately portray boxing as a sport, complete with both analogue controllers representing fists, Facebreaker does away with anything to do with boxing and is basically a fighting game set in a boxing world. Fighting is instead very simple. You can punch high or low, parry high or low or dodge high and low and come back with a power-punch. String together some hits and a meter fills up at the...

Monster Madness Grave Danger

Monster Madness Grave Danger review

Monster Madness first came out on the Xbox 360 a couple of years ago. To be brutally honest it wasn’t a great game but two years later Southpeak Interactive have tried again by releasing the same game on the PS3 with some gameplay tweaks, new modes and a new subheading of Grave Danger instead of Battle for Suburbia. The game revolves around four teenagers. The main kid in the story is an uber-geek called Zack, there’s a goth called Carrie and their friends skater dude Andy and blonde bimbo Jennifer. Whilst doing what teenagers do over at Zack’s house one...
