Pikmin

Pikmin for the Wii Release Date

To keep us entertained whilst the Nintendo teams are working hard on the upcoming new Wii Sports, Mario and Zelda games, someone came up with the great idea of rereleasing forgotten GameCube classics with upgraded control schemes and bonus content. Pikmin is one such classic game where you control a cute astronaut called Olimar who crash lands on a planet. You must make contact and lead up to 100 Pikmin creatures at any one time to help rebuild your spaceship by locating the missing 30 pieces before time runs out. This clever console strategy game mixes the brain teasing puzzles...

MySims Racing

Another Mario Kart Wii clone is on the way. MySims Racing for Wii (and DS) takes the cutesy characters from the MySims games (MySims and MySims Kingdom) and puts them in a pretty looking kart racing game for your delight. With promises of exciting racing, lots of exotic tracks, power ups and car customization, how can it not be a hit? Sounds like fun for up to four players but no mention of Wii online gaming yet, fingers crossed. We expect the MySims Racing release date to be Summer 2009. Check out the MySIms Racing trailer. Mario Power Tennis

Mario Power Tennis for Wii Release Date

In a shrewd move to upgrade casual games from Wii Sports Tennis and into the realm of the Mushroom Kingdom, Nintendo have decided to refit Mario Power Tennis from the GameCube with the Wii Sports Tennis Control scheme where you don’t control your characters but swing with the Wii Remote. Mario Power Tennis for Wii with New Play Control will also let hardcore gamers play using the standard Wii Remote and Nunchuck option in a very similar way to Sega Superstar Tennis for Wii. With tons of characters, courts and mini games we’re sure that Nintendo will be printing more...

Resident Evil 4

Resident Evil 4 review

Resident Evil 4 was first released for the Nintendo GameCube back in 2005, then later on the PlayStation 2 and PC. Both the latter versions included a bonus mission and bonus weapon but fortunately weren’t really worth shouting about. Even without these extra’s the GameCube version was generally accepted to be the best because of its faster loading times (even though it came on two discs as opposed to the single PS2 disc) and better joypad controls. Fast forward a few years and as a warm up exercise to Resident Evil 5, Capcom have decided to rerelease Resident Evil 4...

Marble Saga Kororinpa

World of Goo screenshot

World of Goo review

Although Nintendo’s WiiWare service (where you can buy and download games to play rather than purchase discs) is a great bonus for those owning a Wii, up until now not even Nintendo themselves have released a killer title to really promote the service. So whilst many have tried, no single WiiWare game up until now has cut the mustard. Enter 2D Boy and their physics based puzzle game World of Goo; so consider the mustard well & truly cut, slashed, hung, drawn, quartered and spread over a tasty vegetarian hot dog. But hold on says the editor, we’re giving the...
