Wii Fit used in healthcare

First the Nintendo Wii is teaching our kids, now the Wii Fit is being used for physiotherapy in UK hospitals. It’s being used to show people with prosthetic limbs how to balance, with their shift in weight being accurately shown on the screen. Let’s just hope they don’t take the age rating into account because when my 25 year old girlfriend did the test after a couple of drinks it said she was 55. Check out our Wii Fit review to see what we made of the game. Related: Wii Fit review, Wiis are being used in schools

Need for Speed Undercover review

It’s almost the end of another year and each year seems to bring another version of the racing franchise Need For Speed. This new one sees you infiltrating a gang of street racers in order to uncover some organised crime and drug syndicates. Just how racing against them somehow leads to arrests isn’t quite clear. Still, it’s an excuse to race around the city streets and avoid the cops. Even though you’re on their side they don’t know that so there’s another excuse for some high-speed racing and a high probability of losing your no claims bonus. The game claims...

Sonic Unleashed review

If you’ve been following my games career over the past few years, you’ll know I’m not a massive fan of Sonic. I’ve always thought the games don’t really pose any challenge, feel like they’re playing themselves and just run far too quick to actually actively collect rings and avoid falling off ledges. Sonic Unleashed is Sega’s latest attempt to bring back the blue hedgehog’s glory days and this time they’ve turned him into a ‘Werehog’ when the sun goes down. The game begins with a very impressive cutscene where Doctor Eggman splits open a planet to release the spirit inside....

Alone in the Dark review

After hearing about the new PS3 redesign of this summer’s blockbuster game Alone in the Dark we thought we should take a look at the Wii version, which you can now grab for as little as $15. The original Alone in the Dark PC game was released way back in 1992, and soon built up a cult following as well as a number of sequels. Along with adventure game Myst and first person shooter Doom, Alone in the Dark was generally considered to be one of the first games to really show that PC’s were viable gaming platforms and not...
