Here’s a new one for the Wii and DS out in February next year called de Blob, and before you ask no it’s not a French remake of the monster movie or Stephen King’s Carrie. Beautiful Katamari demo

A demo of Beautiful Katamari has now gone up on Xbox Live Marketplace. If you want to find out how the game feels on Microsoft’s console you’ll get a tiny three minutes to roll your ball around and pick everything up you can. The full game comes to the Xbox 360 and the Wii later in the year.

Big Brain Academy Wii Degree review

I’m taking a look at the Wii re-thinking of the popular Nintendo DS mind expanding game Big Brain Academy. This one’s called Wii Degree and uses the pointy clicky fun of the remote instead of the touchy-feely stylus and has support for multi-player fun which turns the thinking game into a party game. Mario Party 8

Those of you who didn’t manage to get a copy of Mario Party 8 before it was pulled off the shelves for having a bad word in it can now get excited all over again at the new relaunch date. It’ll be back in the shops on August 3rd. Those of you who got a copy, hang on to it, it may be worth something to someone one day, maybe.

Jenga

What game do we really need on the DS and Wii? That’s right Jenga. Atari will release the game in November and promise us edge-of-the-seat action as players use the nunchuck and remote on the wii and the touch screen on the DS to make that tower higher without it toppling over. Guess the proof of the pudding is in the eating so we’ll see if the game stands up or crashes in time for Christmas.
