Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 patch

There’s a patch for Pro Evo 2008 for both PS3 and the 360. Konami haven’t explained what the updates too but there’s speculation it helps with online and offline jerkiness. So far on my 360 I’ve noticed no change.

Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-Ray Remote

Blu-Ray vs HD DVD

Blu-Ray discs are kicking HD DVD’s asses according to their European Committee. They say more than a million films have been sold for its format with a 73 percent share, leaving a piddly 27 percent for HD-DVD. Sales have been bolstered by the PS3 having Blu-ray capability and by the recent releases of 300 and Casino Royale flying off the shelves.

The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time 3DS

WiiWare and Xbox Live downloadable games

So I’ve managed to get some points to spend on some downloadable games for the 360 and the Wii so I thought I’d share with you what I chose to download and whether it’s worth it. The first game I tried was Speedball 2 on Xbox Live arcade. If you’ve never heard of this where have you been? It was a classic ball game on the MegaDrive and Amiga made by the Bitmap Brothers in the late 80s and played a bit like the movie rollerball. You play the game in a top down vertical perspective a bit like Sensible...

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare review

So we all know that for the last few years Call of Duty has been doing the World War 2 thing better than anyone else. They’ve always bee known for great cinematic set pieces, jumping about the campaigns filling different shoes of what we in the Western world call the ‘good guys’ and a decent online experience too. Well, finally the game’s come into the modern era so it doesn’t end up doing a ‘Medal of Honor’ and what we get here is more great set pieces, a decent online experience and some very tasty graphics this time around, with...

Condemned 2

The first condemned game was a launch title for the 360 and really showed what potential the console had. It was a dark, scary FPS with frights similar to those you’d find in the thriller Se7en. Early next year, Sega are providing more supernatural scares set in a real-world environment with Condemned 2: Bloodshot which is also coming out for the PS3 this time around. Again you play as Ethan Thomas, who is now a broken man after the events of the first game when tracking down a killer ended with a nightmare so scary I was on Valium for...

Guitar Hero III

Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock review

Right, time to review one of my favourite games of the moment, it’s Guitar Hero 3 Legends of Rock. I played the first one to death on the PS2, then the second one on PS2 and the 360 and now this one’s come out complete with optional wireless guitars and a few new twists to try and improve on the already fantastic format. Once again you choose one of a few characters and work your way through a number of venues by playing four or five songs as well as you can. You don your guitar peripheral, hold down the...
