XCOM release date delayed

If you’re looking forward to the reboot of the 90’s sci-fi shooter XCOM coming out this year then I’m sorry to say it’s coming out in 2013. So if all the soothsayers out there are correct you won’t be able to play it because the world’s going to end before then. Despite being an obvious GTA rip-off, I actually quite enjoyed the first Saints Row game and the second one passed me by when I wasn’t sent it for review a couple of years ago. Kinect 2 details emerge

New details have emerged regarding Kinect 2 and the big revelation is that it can lip read. Yes, the new piece of tech is so accurate it can detect facial movement and expressions. At the moment it’s the USB connection that prevents all that data going to the console but the new one will connect differently and come bundled with Microsoft’s next console which is still yet to be named. Star Wars The Old Republic under attack

Not content with just attacking Battlefield 3, Activision’s CEO Bobby Kotick is now having a go at World of Warcraft’s impending rival Star Wars: The Old Republic. He stated that George Lucas will be the main financial winner when the game comes out on 20th December and he doesn’t understand how the economics will work for EA. Rayman Origins review

I’ve never been a fan of the 3D Rayman games. Although the armless hero does appeal to some, for me he’s always been Ubisoft’s attempt at making its own version of Mario or Sonic with only some degree of success.
