Resident Evil has always been hit and miss. Recently I enjoyed the HD remake of the original Resident Evil and I really, really liked Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS. Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios have released their latest Mortal Kombat X trailer showcasing yet more fighters from what I think could be my new favourite fighting game (my current favourite is the reboot Mortal Kombat which came out around three years ago). In my opinion, the Resident Evil franchise completely lost its way with Resident Evil 6 on consoles, forgetting that its roots lie in survival instead of all out action and that cheese, in moderation is actually still a good thing. Alien Isolation review

I love both gory and spooky horror movies and I’m also a big fan of the Alien movies and H R Giger’s Xenomorph creation. Having endured Sega’s previous AvP games, I was excited to play Alien Isolation, a game that harks back to the roots of the Ridley Scott’s original Alien movie as you helplessly avoid just one alien that will definitely kill you if it spots you hiding in a dark corner.
