Dream Chronicles

Dream Chronicles review

Up until recently casual gamers were only able to get their fix on PC, be it standalone titles such as Peggle or Facebook apps like Farmville. With services such as XBLA and WiiWare, many of these previously PC only games have been appearing for download to core gaming console gamers. To me this is great news; I don’t always want to shoot aliens with plasma rifles. Sometimes I am just in the mood for a bit of a relax with a time wasting puzzle game. Before this I’d have had to sit at my desk to play some of these...

Michael Jackson The Experience

Michael Jackson The Experience release date

Last night was the launch party for Michael Jackson The Experience at Whisky Mist in Mayfair. I got to try out the game for the Wii and also witnessed some fantastic routines of Smooth Criminal, Billie Jean and Thriller performed by some rather talented dancers. Oh and of course the drinks were free as well! The game features 27 playable tracks, each one with its own unique MJ dance moves and steps based on Michael’s original music videos. You can prance about in your own living room donning a glittery glove and white socks on November 26th 2010. Buy Michael...

Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty Black Ops review

Everyone goes absolutely nuts for the Call of Duty games don’t they. I think the single player campaigns are always short but intense and the multiplayer is something that keeps me playing for hours if not days on end. Black Ops is the latest game in the series and it’s made by Treyarch, the team that made World at War. So does this game offer anything new or is it more of the same? Instead of playing as different characters, this time you just play as Mason, a Black Ops operative who’s being interrogated for some numbers in his head....

Blood Stone

Blood Stone review

Blood Stone promises a brand new Bond adventure whilst MGM try to get funding to finish their so-far-doomed 3rd Daniel Craig Bond movie. This tale of espionage revolves around a UK top secret biochemical that’s fallen into the wrong hands and so Bond has to investigate where it is and gets into all sorts of bother in the process. Most of this bother revolves around duck and cover shooting as we’ve seen done to great effect in Gears of War and Uncharted, and some short driving sections that should be good seeing as Bizarre Creations developed the game, the same...

Fable III image

Fable 3 review

So it’s back to Albion for Fable 3 and a lot has changed since we were last here. A Dickensian style industrial revolution is in full swing. However for all this modernity it’s still acceptable to wander round in a snazzy bearskin wielding a hammer the size of a phone box. Incidentally it’s also acceptable to wander round in full drag or even a chicken costume should you so wish. The world of Fable is certainly a world of contradictions, and that is at the heart of everything it does well and everything it does wrong. Fable 3 is absolutely...

Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2

Star Wars The Force Unleashed 2 review

I was disappointed with the first Star Wars The Force Unleashed game as it didn’t deliver what I expected it to after seeing the fantastic trailer for it. This time my expectations aren’t as high so let’s see if the Force is stronger in this one this time around shall we? Once again you play as Starkiller, Vader’s secret apprentice. This time though there’s some doubt cast as to whether you really are him or just a clone after he was apparently killed by Vader at the end of the previous game. Straight away you escape Vader’s clutches and set...
