Ghost Recon Future Soldier

Ghost Recon Future Soldier release date

Ubisoft’s reboot of the Ghost Recon games has been delayed until the final quarter of 2011 – Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Future Soldier Release Date is October 30th 2011. This may also delay the multiplayer beta that shipped with Splinter Cell Conviction. I don’t mind it slipping – but it better be good! Hot from E3 is the news that Ghost Recon Future Soldier will use Xbox Kinect heavily for some seriously intensive usage. If you thought Kinect was just about party games, perhaps it’s time to think again. So far we’ve seen real-time Kinect footage showing how you can...

Gears of War 3

Gears of War 3 release date

Not only has Microsoft announced the Gears of War 3 release date as the 8th of April 2011 but new details have just come out concerning the Gears of War 3 characters too. Marcus Fenix is going to learn a ‘bittersweet secret about his father’s fate’ and new female character Anya has left her desk job to join the Delta Squad. Apparently she’s a ‘tough, confident fighter ready to tackle anything’. Let’s just hope she doesn’t mind rather large bugs. Related: Gears of War 2 review, Killzone 2 Xbox 360 version

Lead and Gold

Lead and Gold review

If you were to ask me which movie genres didn’t tickle my special zones then I’d probably answer you with Romance and Westerns. Now if I were tied to a flaming stake and forced to choose between Gone with the Wind or The Good, The Bad and The Ugly then I would probably side with Clint Eastwood. As you may be able to guess from title, Lead and Gold for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC is not a romantic game but instead a western inspired shooter. Let’s find out more about it in this Lead and Gold PS3 review right...

FIFA World Cup 2010

FIFA World Cup 2010 review

It’s easy to be cynical every other year when EA bring out a FIFA game based around international soccer competitions and it’s also easy to see why. There are less teams to play as, the game usually feels a bit stripped down to the bare bones and once the tournament is over you probably won’t pick the game up again. Having said that, this latest World Cup game is very much fun to play thanks to some new game modes and some tweaks to gameplay and graphics which show where the game will be heading when FIFA 2011 comes out....

Super Street Fighter IV image

Super Street Fighter IV review

Last year I wasn’t able to review Street Fighter IV as the postman nicked my review copy…twice! So I was rather pleased when without asking, Super Street Fighter IV pops through my door for the PS3. I put it in my machine and instantly got down with arcade mode to give it a whirl. The first thing you’ll notice is the massive roster of 35 characters available right from the start. The classic characters we all know are there including the new ones from Street Fighter IV and some brand new ones including a martial artist called Makoto, a Muay-Thai...

Splinter Cell Conviction

Splinter Cell Conviction review

Finally Sam Fisher’s latest adventure sees the light of day and Sam is now dragged into action under the premise of finding out who ran over his daughter, the only thing keeping his humanity around as he worked in all sorts of undercover missions for Third Echelon. Of course the plot twists and turns like an episode of 24 and the game takes you into the Third Echelon headquarters, a fairground, the Washington Memorial and even puts you in a flashback in Iraq. If you’ve played the previous games you’ll realise this is a very different beast to what’s gone...
