The Ballad of Gay Tony

The Ballad of Gay Tony review

In the Ballad of Gay Tony you don’t play as club owner Tony Prince, but his business partner Luis Lopez – yet another guy trying to do good but hanging out with deadbeats and getting into all sorts of bother which involves fast cars, loose women, guns and of course a high body count. Whereas Lost and Damned gave us an emphasis on bikes, this time around the emphasis is on taking to the skies, whether it’s in one of the many helicopter missions or base jumping off building and out of planes. You can also try your hand at...

Risen

Risen review

I’ve recently been producing a 24 hour gaming event for the new Dragon Age Origins game. It’s a massive 3rd-person fantasy RPG for PC and consoles so it’s going to be hard for anything to top it. Risen developed by Piranha Bytes recently came through my door so I thought I’d give it a go and see how it fares. The game begins when you, as a stowaway, are shipwrecked on an island called Faranga. Tekken 6

Tekken 6 review

Tekken and Soul Calibur have always been my fighting games of choice. I even liked Mortal Kombat over Street Fighter in the past so go figure what that says about me. Anyway, Tekken 6 has hit the next-gen systems so does it deliver all that you’d expect? Well, if you want a fighting game which you can pick up and play but also master if you put the effort in with a massive roster of characters to play as then I guess that’s a yes. If you want a fantastic campaign mode to play through as well then forget it...

Up

Up review

I had my first experience of 3D cinema the other day when I watched Up. Once my eyes had adjusted I was initially impressed but then I sort of got used to it. It’s the same with videogames. Next-gen machines come out and everyone goes ‘whooo’ but then the bar has to constantly be raised in order to impress. It’s a pity then that not only does Up have average graphics, but it’s also a very average platform game that’s of little interest to me. You mainly play the game as Carl and Russell as you move round the 3D...
