Hitman

Hitman review

Okay it’s time for another strange review, where I must give my opinion on a game before I’ve played most of the content. This time it’s Hitman’s turn to become episodic with a full release on disc later in the year along with bonus content in the interim for people who download the game area by area. This one goes right back to the beginning as Agent 47 is picked up by who is soon to become his handler at the ICA facility and put through some training missions based on a previous assassin’s exploits. There are just two scenarios...

Far Cry Primal review

Far Cry Primal is an interesting one, and a brave thing for Ubisoft to do in my opinion. The game has always been about facing adversity in a paradise setting and this game is no different, although it is set in central Europe in the year 10,000 BC! That’s right, there’s no twist here. You’re literally a caveman of the Wenja tribe who must fight for survival and fend off a tribe of cannibals called the Udam in order to save your people from starvation. The reason I think Ubi are brave is that there are no guns in this...

Street Fighter V review

Street Fighter is back. This one’s labelled five but of course, there have been countless versions of the game to play between now and the original game that came out way back when in 1987. Xbox owners are going to miss out this time, as the game is exclusive to PS4 and PC, and Capcom have made this game with the future very much in mind. Gone are expansion packs and the game will evolve and update as you play, with you earning Fight Money for free with which to buy new updates, or you can spend your hard earned...

Resident Evil Origins Collection review

Resident Evil Origins Collection combines Resident Evil HD which came out last summer with a new HD remake of Resident Evil Zero, which is a prequel to the events in the mansion where Rebecca Chambers from the STARS Rescue Team gets involved in a fight for survival alongside Billy Coen, a runaway who’s been convicted of over 28 grisly murders. I’ve already reviewed Resident Evil HD so in this review I’ll concentrate on Zero and then give a verdict taking into account you can get both games in one bundle here. If you remember playing the old Resident Evil games...

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India review

The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles games are a spin-off series to the yearly AAA games on consoles and PC and as such, offer gameplay in the same world and with similar themes, only in a 2.5D viewpoint where you sneak and kill your way through the levels collecting things around the Animus and playing through the story. India is the next game in the Chronicles series after China and you play as master assassin Arbaaz Mir in 1841 during a rivalry between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company. Of course there is Templar involvement in the mix as well...

Best Games of 2015

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it’s also that time again when I run down my favourite games of 2015 so here goes: 5. Batman: Arkham Knight At number five it’s Batman: Arkham Knight. Although Batman does, frankly, look like a bit of a tool, Rocksteady Games do know how to make a great game and this one has notes of horror in there as well! Killing the Joker off in Arkham City was probably the best thing they did in the franchise and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, play it and you’ll see...
