Rhythm Heaven

Rhythm Heaven review

Anyone who’s played a ‘rhythm’ game recently has probably picked up a guitar or sat at a plastic drum kit and played along to some contemporary songs whilst dreaming of being a rock star. Rhythm Heaven or Rhythm Paradise as it’s known in the UK takes the same mentality as the WarioWare games with lots of simple mini games based around rhythmic taps and flicks of the stylus where you must complete each cartoony challenge before you must move onto the next stage. You may be flicking in time with the music to hammer bolts into square pieces of metal,...

Bionic Commando

Bionic Commando review

After a 20 year wait, Capcom’s Bionic Commando is now back in full 3D. You may have recently played the remake of the original subtitled Rearmed, but this one follows on from the first game as you respond to a terrorist threat that’s just blown up a whole city and caused a massive earthquake. Luckily that means there’s lots of stuff to swing about on too. One thing that’s marred my enjoyment slightly is that I reached level 20 about 30 hours into the game and since then haven’t been able to grow and develop like any good RPGer shoud. Thankfully, Broken Steel not only removes the level cap and increases it to level 30, it also adds some new perks, some new ultra-tough enemies and lets you continue to play the game once you’ve finished the main story. Once you’ve finished the main...

SOCOM US Navy SEALs Confrontation

SOCOM US Navy SEALs Confrontation review

There seems to be a running theme on Gamesweasel. And that theme is once again a game that’s been out in the States for about 5 months and has finally come to the UK so I can pass my opinion on it. Luckily, since its release in the US there have been many bug fixes and patches for SOCOM: Confrontation so now it’s at least playable after installing a patch before you can install the actual game to your hard drive. If you’ve played SOCOM before on the PS2 you’ll know what to expect. The game’s a 3rd-person shooter but...
