Metal Gear Solid HD release date

It’s been confirmed by Konami that Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders are getting HD remakes. The MGS collection will be out in November for PS3 and Xbox 360 and will contain high definition re-workings of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and both Zone of the Enders games will be out in 2012. Dead Island Bloodbath Arena

Deep Silver have announced a special pre-order edition of Dead Island for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. The special edition will of course include the game and offer the ‘Bloodbath’ Arena DLC for free. Basically it’s a survival mode you can play in single player or in multiplayer as you take on hordes of zombies and try to stay alive for as long as you can. Prey 2 details announced

Remember the gravity-defying Native American alien mash-up that was Prey? Well, the teaser trailer was shown at E3 in LA and it seems to have absolutely nothing to do with the original. However it still looks very exciting as we see what appears to be a human bounty hunter capturing one of his prey (aaah, I see what they did there) and having an order to kill another. We’re already loving the look, the gadgets and weaponry and the Wild West soundtrack. It’s being developed by Human Head Studios and Prey 2 release date should be some time in 2012....

Might and Magic Heroes 6 beta

Ubisoft have announced the beta for their upcoming PC fantasy RPG, Might and Magic Heroes 6. Pre-order the game and you’ll be able to get online and try it out from the 28th June 2011. Up for grabs are 3 huge solo maps and one multiplayer map called Broken Alliance where you’ll be able to try out the improved combat mechanics, tweaked RPG elements and a completely revamped resource management system. PlayStation Vita release date

Sony have announced a release date for their next-gen handheld console and given it a new official name. The NGP is now called PlayStation Vita and will launch this Christmas as Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi and 3G versions. AT&T will be the exclusive carrier for the latter model in the US with global carriers to probably be announced at Gamescom this August.
