Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition

Super Street Fighter IV 3DS review

Super Street Fighter IV on the consoles is probably the best of the entire series and now it’s time for it to migrate to the 3DS and send everyone’s eyes wonky. As you’d expect it’s not in gorgeous HD but the graphics are fantastic and the 3D element works well without giving you too much motion sickness. They’ve even included the Dynamic Mode which looks at the 2D action from 45′ and really gives the game depth in 3D even though it’s a bit distracting for people used to fighting side-on. If you’re not familiar with the game, it’s pretty much...

Crysis 2 picture

Crysis 2 review

After playing through the somewhat tongue-in-cheek Bulletstorm, Crysis 2 comes as something of a culture shock as it’s the complete opposite. This is one very serious first-person shooter full of gravitas and without an ounce of humour. That’s not to say it’s not impressive though, because it is. Here’s my take on the single player action. Before I get to the story let me just say that this is one of the best looking FPSs I’ve ever played on a console. On the PS3 the game looks almost photo-realistic when your submarine is hit by a mysterious missile which floods...

Carnival Games image

Carnival Games Monkey See Monkey Do release date

Remember when Sony and Microsoft both said the Wii was for kids? Well at that time they didn’t realise that Nintendo would go on to make billions of dollars selling the tiny console. To this day one of the biggest selling Wii titles is Carnival Games. The game itself is really just a collection of minigames based in and around a carnival fair – the games weren’t that much fun but the presentation was actually very good. Since then we’ve already seen a couple of sequels, a Nintendo DS game and even an iPhone App. Xbox 360 owners lucky enough...

It has only been four years since the Rabbids first arrived in Rayman’s launch title for Nintendo Wii and back then they were just his new enemies. However in those four years the Rabbids have become much more popular than the hero Rayman himself. Now the Rabbids have become their own brand and so it’s no surprise to see that they a starring in a brand new 3D side-scrolling platforming game just after the launch of Nintendo 3DS. If like me you can’t resist the crazy antics of those mad killer bunnies then you should check out this interesting looking...

Sonic Free Riders

Sonic Free Riders review

2010 was a good year for Sonic the Hedgehog, on average. Sonic 4 Episode One was a bright and breezy homage to the good ol’ days, and Sonic Colors finally added a competent 3D game to the series. Sonic Free Riders, the third game in Sega’s off-beat ‘Sonic Riders’ racing series, was also released in 2010. You’ll notice how earlier I said ‘good year on average’. A launch title for Xbox 360’s Kinect, Free Riders had quite a challenge in front of it. Not only did Sega have to provide a decent whole body control system to help prove the...
