Halo Reach review

You may or may not know that I’ve always been in the camp that can’t see what all the fuss is about the Halo games. Sure the first one was a milestone in FPS gaming on the Xbox but I found the Covenant not at all foreboding enough and the weapons really flimsy. Since then, in my opinion other games have eclipsed the series in the FPS market but Halo: Reach is Bungie’s final game of the series so they’ve pulled out all the stops to deliver something that feels like the finale of a game throughout this entire title....

Halo Reach

Halo Reach disc read error

It seems that the latest Halo game isn’t having quite the ‘reach’ that Microsoft expected. Some Xbox 360 owners can’t play the game due to their machines refusing to read the DVD. It doesn’t seem to be a disc read issue, rather an incompatibility problem with some specific models of Xbox 360 and batches of the DVD. In the meantime you could try wiping the disc with a soft clean cloth from the inside out or possibly...

Last Window: The Secret of Cape West review

Last Window The Secret of Cape West review

The game begins innocuously enough but mysteries soon rear the head – the...

Pang: Magical Michael

Pang Magical Michael review

I fondly remember playing Pang when it first came out in the late 80s. The idea was simple – playing as one of two cartoony characters who looked like park rangers, you had to fire harpoons at bubbles bouncing down at you from above in order to save the world’s most precious landmarks (and yourselves) from destruction. Based on the arcade classic, Pang: Magical Michael sees you going on a similar mission but this time it’s all your own dong as a failed magical experiment has once again unleashed the colourful bubbles. Quite how a bubble can harm you I’m...
