Review of Call of Duty Black Ops

Are people fickle or just blinded by hype? I remember last year when Modern Warfare 2 was released that the whole world went crazy, reviewers were calling it the greatest game of all time and players were convinced of the same. But just a few months later the fuss had died down, in fact, people were complaining about the buggy and hacked multiplayer mode and a single player campaign that was too short. Perhaps the whole Infinity Ward and Activision fall out distracted things a bit, or maybe it was that the two DLC packs were overpriced and didn’t deliver...

Call of Duty Black Ops review

Everyone goes absolutely nuts for the Call of Duty games don’t they. I think the single player campaigns are always short but intense and the multiplayer is something that keeps me playing for hours if not days on end. Black Ops is the latest game in the series and it’s made by Treyarch, the team that made World at War. So does this game offer anything new or is it more of the same? Instead of playing as different characters, this time you just play as Mason, a Black Ops operative who’s being interrogated for some numbers in his head....

New Hollywood voice talent’s been announced for Call of Duty: Black Ops. Gary Oldman will reprise his role as Viktor Reznov from World at War and Ed Harris will play one of the game’s main characters – CIA Operative Jack Hudson. Why are hard guys always called Jack? Blacklight Tango Down review

If you’ve never played recent Call of Duty multiplayer or want something a little more futuristic when it comes to shooting complete strangers in the face then you could download Blacklight: Tango Down onto your console for about $15. You won’t get any single player experience for your money but you will get a tight multiplayer game with a few different game modes and plenty of upgrades for your weapons. You won’t find any plot as such in the game itself but by reading the blurb in the ‘how to play’ section you’ll learn that you’ll be playing as one...

Call of Duty Black Ops sales figures

Pre-orders of Call of Duty: Black Ops are already outnumbering those of Modern Warfare 2. Gamers don’t seem too phased with Infinity Ward not developing the next game and seem confident that Treyarch can do just as good a job if not better.
