Microsoft had a few massive things to say, the main thing being Project Natal, a complete motion and voice capture system that lets you play games and interact without a controller. The trailer showed driving games, skating, quiz games using hands as buzzers, facial capture, voice recognition and even the ability to scan objects into the game. Other big titles for the 360 included Halo 3 ODST, Halo Rising, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza Motorsport 3 and The Beatles Rockband . Sony E3 Highlights

After seeing Microsoft’s pretty successful conference and Nintendo’s fairly poor performance, what did Sony do to convince us that Sony would be the one to watch this Christmas? As expected Sony concentrated less on sales figures than Microsoft or Nintendo, after all they are still lagging behind in overall unit sales by a fair margin. Resistance 2 looked amazing; with a Cloverfield style looking action scene where a huge skyscraper sized nasty monster needs dispatching. Microsoft’s press conference at E3 saw mainly confirmation of previously leaked information, nethertheless they put on a good show and did manage to throw in a few surprises. Here are our favourite standout details from the show so far. We now know that Resident Evil 5 has an online co-op mode and that many of the puzzles will require teamwork from both parties. Best of E3

So a smaller, scaled down E3 has come and gone this year and this time it’s actually been possible to easily pick out the shining gems from all the games on offer without spending weeks trawling through all the information. Here’s my pick of what I’m looking forward to in the coming months. So let’s cover the big boys. Nintendo showed us Mario Kart for the Wii.
