Mario Power Tennis

Mario Power Tennis for Wii Release Date

In a shrewd move to upgrade casual games from Wii Sports Tennis and into the realm of the Mushroom Kingdom, Nintendo have decided to refit Mario Power Tennis from the GameCube with the Wii Sports Tennis Control scheme where you don’t control your characters but swing with the Wii Remote. Mario Power Tennis for Wii with New Play Control will also let hardcore gamers play using the standard Wii Remote and Nunchuck option in a very similar way to Sega Superstar Tennis for Wii. With tons of characters, courts and mini games we’re sure that Nintendo will be printing more...

Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars

Super Mario RPG Legend of the Seven Stars

The long lost Mario game from the Super Nintendo that never made it to Europe has finally been released onto the Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console service. Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars; created by RPG masters Square (yes – Square Enix) on behalf of Nintendo and was released in 1996 to huge acclaim both in Japan and the US. At 900 WiiPoints Super Mario RPG is a trifle expensive but well worth the money for true Mario fans who never managed to play this key title on import back in the day. Mario Super Sluggers

Mario Super Sluggers Release Date

We just wanted to throw out a quick reminder for Mario Super Sluggers this month. If you enjoyed the Wii Sports Baseball but now want to progress onto a game which lets you control more of the game than the just the batting and pitching, then it’s time to progress onto Mario Super Sluggers Wii. Mario Kart review

We all know what Mario Kart is and most of us have grown up with it since the days of the SNES, the N64 and right up to the not so distant past on the GameCube and the DS. At last it’s come to the Wii complete with a wheel casing to put your remote inside and what it’s been crying out for in full glory since it worked very nicely on the DS – full Wi-Fi multiplayer support. I’m going to assume you know how the game works so I’ll go into what’s new, what works and what doesn’t...

Mario Kart Wii review

Has it really been fifteen years since I played the original Super Mario Kart game on the SNES? Well unless I’m a time lord (which I’m not) then the answer is very probably yes. Mario Kart Wii is the sixth game in the series (excluding the Namco arcade versions) and after 15 years of experience you would think Nintendo should be the perfect guys to create one kick ass karting game. Mario Kart Wii is a fun but surprisingly deep racer, it might be full of colourful characters and whacky tracks but look deeper into its core and you’ll see...

Mario Super Sluggers Wii

Blimey, they haven’t even got Mario Kart out of door yet and Nintendo are already spilling the mushrooms on Mario’s next smash hit game. Mario Super Sluggers Wii sees Nintendo’s favourite little plumber picking up his baseball bat once more. Developed by Namco, (yes the ones who made Pacman) Mario Super Sluggers Wii sounds like it will be more extensive than the baseball mode included in Wii Sports, which whilst fun, only covered the basics. The Mario Super Sluggers release date currently a vague ‘later this year’, I think we’ll get a more definitive date when it’s shown at E3...
