It’s been confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Rising isn’t actually a spin-off but is going to be a series on its own. Featuring the not-so-loved Raiden from MGS2 and 4, the release date of the first game in this series is September 24th 2010. It’s so hard to believe that two years have gone by since Metal Gear Solid 4 for PS3. I’m sure that after such a long time you’re more than desperate for any sort of Metal Gear Solid gaming but rest assured Peace Walker for PSP is set to push the system to its limits and the rumour is that this will be the last MGS game ever that will feature Solid Snake. There’s heavy speculation about Konami’s next Metal Gear game which will hopefully be announced properly at E3 in June. The game could feature Snake but it’s hotly tipped Raiden might be back – a character which disappointed most people who played Metal Gear Solid 2. Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH has announced its first European Metal Gear Online Championship, with entrants competing to win a luxury trip to Tokyo – home of series creator, Kojima Productions!
