A NES cartridge has sold for a whopping 17,500 USD. The game’s called Nintendo World Championships: Gold Edition and is one of 26 made with three timed games on it for a Nintendo Power competition back in 1990.
Mario Kart on the Wii is being used to promote road safety. A study in Colorado is getting people to play the game using the wheel peripheral whilst texting to see what happens. I know it’s dangerous to do that whilst driving but even more so when a red shell’s about to explode up your exhaust pipe. A little boy got the surprise of his life when he bought a brand new PSP from Walmart – crammed full of mucky photos. Games consoles have been blamed for lots of things but now they’re being blamed for skin diseases. Apparently some gamers can suffer from hidradenitis resulting in red, sore lumps on the palms from sweating too much. All I can say is The Elephant Man must have played a lot of PlayStation.

We’ve found these cool prepaid debit cards from Capcom featuring Street Fighter 4 and Resident Evil 5 branding. It’s never been so cool to spend your hard earned money on gaming goods than by using a genuine gaming debit card. Currently these Capcom Visa cards are only available in North America but fingers crossed they might spread worldwide. Nintendo are the ones to beat when it comes to customer service after they replaced a gamer’s Nintendo Wii and GBA SP when it melted in a house fire. The gamer also lost 250 games and of course, his house. Now all he needs is a TV, some new games and somewhere to plug it in.
