The Legend of Zelda Spirit Tracks

Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has announced a few new things for the Wii and DS. There’s a new Zelda game on the way on the DS called The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks which controls similarly to The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass but this time you use a steam train to move about the land. I’ve always been a bigger fan of the Zelda games on handhelds than on the consoles. It just comes down to a time thing, even though I love the games, I just don’t get time to finish them on the GameCube, N64 or even the Wii. However, on the Gameboy Color, Advance or the DS, I can make use of dead time and get really involved when on the move. Zelda on the Wii

There’s already a new Zelda game coming out for the Wii. With the advent of their new lightgun peripheral the Zapper, they’re also making a game called Zelda Crossbow training which is about… you guessed it, archery! It’s a third-person target shooting game using the Twilight Princess engine. Whether we all start stealing from the rich and giving to the poor is yet to be seen.
