Assassins Creed Syndicate release date and screenshots
Ubisoft have just announced their brand new game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, this time called Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. This latest game is set in 1868 during the Industrial Revolution as you roam the streets of Victorian London as either Jacob or Evie Frye, which you can switch to at any time as you explore the open city. The story from inside the Animus sees the twins head into town from Crawley as they get to work starting an uprising against the big men of course secretly run by the Templars. Quite how the Apple of Eden, Minerva and all the space people from the future also come into it is still unclear.
This game will be single player only which allows the developers to concentrate more on the narrative and also a 30% larger map than that of Unity. From the trailer it also looks like there will be a new zip line mechanic when it comes to getting from A to B on the rooftops and we’ll meet some interesting characters from the time including Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin thanks to some DLC promotion. I’ve never been good at history but I’d also expect other characters that look like they might be from that era to make an appearance including Jack The Ripper, Sweeney Todd and Sherlock Holmes. Okay, so some of them are fictional but wouldn’t it be fun getting involved in a case with him?
The areas you’ll be able to explore within London are Westminster, The Strand, The City, Whitechapel , Southwark and Lambeth and the Thames will also play a big role when it comes to mucking about in boats. PS4 and Xbox One owners can play the game from 23rd October with PC gamers following very soon after.
