It has long been thought that only Nintendo themselves could produce and sell games that sell multi millions of copes on their hardware. That is and always has been a myth; plenty of third party publishers are making a lot of money from Nintendo systems. Square Enix are probably the chief example of this with their Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series. Dragon Quest IX Sentinels of the Starry Skies for DS has already sold almost five million copies in Japan alone and now a year later it’s time for the USA and Europe to raise that number even higher.
Dragon Quest 9: Sentinels of the Starry Skies for DS has been built from the ground up to appeal to RPG fans from all over the world, promising the hottest action available on DS as well as a robust new battle system and enthralling number of quests. You can expect to see:
- Character creator with a good range of options
- The best battle and combo system seen in a Dragon Quest game
- Wireless Multiplayer for up to four local players
- A new Alchemy system that presents a whole new way to build weapons and armour
The Dragon Quest IX Release date in North America is July 11th 2010 and Dragon Quest 9 fans in Europe will have to wait until July 23rd of their fix.
