One of the Nintendo Wii’s overlooked features is the ability to playback Nintendo Gamecube discs natively; a great option for those who already own Gamecube games or like to hunt eBay for those retro goodies. Pikmin 2 New Play Control confirmed in Europe

Europe can already look forward to the sequel of Pikmin being released on the New Play Control brand this year. So far it’s all quiet for North American Wii owners but it won’t be long before Nintendo let us know when we can get our hands on another classic GameCube Wii port. The release date for Pikmin 2 in Europe is 24th April; and it shouldn’d be too long before a US announcement. Pikmin for the Wii Release Date

To keep us entertained whilst the Nintendo teams are working hard on the upcoming new Wii Sports, Mario and Zelda games, someone came up with the great idea of rereleasing forgotten GameCube classics with upgraded control schemes and bonus content. Pikmin is one such classic game where you control a cute astronaut called Olimar who crash lands on a planet.
