Hope you are ready for some puzzle solving because Professor Layton and The Curious Village is heading to DS this Winter and I’m prescribing it for you. Over 130 taxing lateral puzzles await as you try to find a special Golden Apple, a huge inheritance all whilst trying to figure out what the hell is going on in this weird town called St Mystere.
Think of it as a new Brain Training game but this time there is a proper story and fun to be had for gamers, as opposed to grannies wanting to fend off the OAP home a few years longer. As you complete puzzles you earn Picarats points, easy puzzles earn just a few whilst the complex ones give you loads. With the huge story mode, extra mini games and special weekly riddle downloads from the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. The game looks top notch and wouldn’t look out of place as a kids cartoon on TV. The Professor Layton and the Curious Village release date is 7th November.
