Best Games of 2017

Despite there being some very good games in 2016, most people want to forget about it and move on, so here’s five games I’m very much looking forward to playing this year, the year 2017! Resident Evil 7: Biohazard I still haven’t got round to trying the Resident Evil 7 demos out in VR but the full game will be playable in VR and for that, Capcom must be praised. It’s also quite a departure from other Resident Evil games, as it’s in first-person and not on rails. We’ve seen recent remakes of older Resident Evil titles and let’s face...

Gears of War 4

Most anticipated games of 2016

The new year is almost here and with that, there are loads of new video games to get excited about. Here’s my list of games I’m looking forward to in 2016, in no particular order: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is the sequel to 2011’s Human Revolution and for a change is set in Prague. Set after the events of the previous game, once again you play as Adam Jensen in a world where humans can also be fitted with augmentations. Naturally, this has created somewhat of a divide between non-augmented humans and cyborgs with those techy...

Best Games of 2015

It’s the most wonderful time of the year and it’s also that time again when I run down my favourite games of 2015 so here goes: 5. Batman: Arkham Knight At number five it’s Batman: Arkham Knight. Although Batman does, frankly, look like a bit of a tool, Rocksteady Games do know how to make a great game and this one has notes of horror in there as well! Killing the Joker off in Arkham City was probably the best thing they did in the franchise and if you don’t know what I’m talking about, play it and you’ll see...

Top 5 Games of 2015

There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to gaming in 2015 – here are the best five that I’m looking forward to playing. Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain At 5 it’s Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Okay, Ground Zeroes for me was a bit of a mixed bag. Positives were some great visuals and some good ideas nicked from Splinter Cell, but this was mixed with some really worrying themes from Kojima’s seemingly twisted brain and some awkward controls that should have disappeared by Snake Eater. Still, seeing Snake in an open world riding...

Top 5 Games of 2014

Once again another year has almost ended so here are my top 5 games of 2014. South Park: the Stick of Truth At 5 it’s South Park: The Stick of Truth. Finally a game has been released that’s worthy of this very long running cartoon comedy. Kind of like a light role-playing game and faithfully recreated in the 2d-style of the, you must journey round the town of South Park and regain power of the Stick of Truth in your very own role-playing game – within the game so to speak. With turn-based combat, exploration and a tonne of laughs,...

Top 5 Games of 2013

Here are the five games I’m mostly looking forward to in 2013. Crysis 3 At number five it’s Crysis 3. Prophet is back from the dead and this time he’s the one hunting down the Ceph and the CELL Corporation inside a massive Nanodome in New York. This urban jungle provides the perfect environment for Prophet to try out his brand new bow that not only strikes with silent and deadly accuracy but can also be used when cloaked. Graphically this game also looks stunning. See those blades of grass? Each one has its own physics – mental! Tomb Raider...
